We invite you to our tutored tasting on 20th March 2009 in the Boxmoor Lodge Marquee by Lilyane Weston, International Federation of Wine Writers Institute of Wines and Spirits.

A comparison of 8 fantastic wines and a 3 course meal and coffee prepared by our Head Chef Stuart Ambury and his team £50.00 per person. Guests to arrive at 7:30pm for pre-dinner drinks to eat at 8:00pm

Wines
Bellefontaine SAUVIGNON BLANC, Vin de Pays d’Oc, France
A wine with distinct varietal characteristics, vibrant fruit expression, rich citrus notes on the palate and a lingering finish.

MENETOU SALON, Domaine Henri Pelle, Loire
Produced by the Mayor of the picturesque village of Morogues, from the same grape as Sancerre and Pouilly Fume. This wine has a gorgeous fresh gooseberry aroma and flavour.

Casa Marin Lo Abarca PINOT NOIR, Chile
Rich mulberry, cherry aroma, is followed by an explosion of vibrant fruit on the mid palate. Silky tannins, seductive sweet fresh red fruit, combine to produce a balanced, elegant and alluring wine with a lingering finish. Wonderful with red meat, pasta and hard cheese.

BEAUNE Epenottes, Premier Cru, Vallet Freres
Complex bouquet redolent of black cherries, wild blackberries and peaches. A seductive and velvety wine, very complex on the palate.

Nieto Reserve MERLOT, Argentina
An elegant and serious wine of exceptional value. Decanting would enhance its vibrant fruit and fine tannins.

Chateau GIRAUDELS de MILON,
Grand Cru Classe Saint-Emilion, France
Produced from up to 75% Merlot, this classy wine offers a combination of concentration and complexity.

Paarl Heights CHENIN BLANC, South Africa
The Coastal Region, north-east of Cape Town produces this floral wine redolent of exotic fruits.

VOUVRAY DEMI-SEC, Les Coteaux des Tuffiers, Loire
Produced from Chenin Blanc, this medium-dry wine has aroma of citrus fruit and hazelnuts.
